Strengthening charities through impact measurement
Our 2026 capacity‑building program is now in full swing, with 11 charities participating this year. Seven past grant recipients and four short‑listed applicants are taking part in quarterly workshops on governance, fundraising, impact measurement, and communications.
Earlier sessions focused on governance and digital fundraising, giving charities practical tools to improve board leadership and grow online donations. In September, the program turns to impact measurement. Consultant Wendy Keats will lead a two‑part workshop on how nonprofits can track outcomes, analyze data, and share results in ways that resonate with funders and communities. As Wendy explains, “It’s no longer enough to simply count participants or share anecdotes, funders today want clear evidence of the longer‑term difference a program is making for people, communities, and society.” The training will give charities practical methods to demonstrate progress, communicate results clearly, and highlight the broader value of their work.
By equipping charities with clear ways to measure and share results, Project Change Foundation is helping them build credibility, attract resources, and secure long‑term sustainability. As Vancouver Food Runners’ executive director Michelle Reining noted after an earlier session, “Project Change Foundation’s training series has been invaluable, giving charities access to professional development that strengthens operations and supports sustainable growth.”
