We are pleased to announce that YouthInspirED Foundation has been selected as our recipient of support for 2027. They will receive $3,000 and mentorship support throughout the year. YouthInspirED is a youth‑led Canadian charity that equips young leaders under 30 to deliver free, virtual K–12 tutoring programs in their communities.

Founded in 2020, YouthInspirED has already supported more than 5,000 students across Canada with free, one‑on‑one tutoring. All tutors and leaders are under 30, creating a cycle where young people both deliver academic support and grow into leaders themselves. Looking ahead, the charity is shifting from a volunteer‑run model to paid staff, ensuring it can keep pace with demand and expand into four new provinces.

The charity’s programs are intentionally low‑barrier, reaching students from low‑income households, newcomer families, rural communities, and Indigenous communities. With dozens of volunteers active each year, YouthInspirED is building the capacity to reach thousands more students while strengthening its chapter‑based tutoring model.

Project Change Foundation’s grant will improve YouthInspirED’s volunteer training platform, giving tutors practical tools to better support students. Mentorship will help guide the organization through its staffing transition and prepare for expansion.

“As a board, we were inspired by YouthInspirED’s vision and the leadership of young Canadians driving this work. We are excited to support their journey and help strengthen their foundation for long‑term growth,” adds Joe Kelly, founder and board member of Project Change Foundation.

Project Change Foundation’s support will help YouthInspirED expand access to free academic support, reaching young people who might otherwise face barriers to education.
