Welcoming our newest board member

She has served on the board of InTransitBC and as chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel, BC Chapter. She was senior vice president and general counsel for British Columbia Investment Management Corp and Brookfield Renewable.
In addition to her legal training, she has received an independent corporate director designation (ICD.D), a Competent Board ESG designation (GCB.D) and has completed courses on artificial intelligence (MIT Executive Education) and Indigenous intercultural awareness (Law Society of BC).
Patricia is a National Post/ZSA Western Canada General Counsel of the Year finalist (2022), a BIV Top 500 Most Influential Business Leaders in BC (2021), and a Women’s Business Network of Ottawa Businesswoman of the Year (Corporate Category, 2010).
“I am looking forward to making a meaningful contribution on the board,” Bood says. “I was drawn to Project Change Foundation due to its focus of helping emerging charities become even stronger and better positioned to improve their communities and the environment.”
Patricia’s experience as a business executive plus background in law will be an asset for Project Change Foundation as well as future grant recipients who are looking for guidance related to her areas of expertise.
“We’re delighted to welcome Patricia to our board of directors,” says Joe Kelly, Project Change’s founder and board chair. “Her wealth of skills and experience, combined with her energy and enthusiasm for community engagement, will be invaluable to the foundation and the charities that we support.”
