Momentum is on BizKids’ side
How good does double, even triple, the growth sound? What about 15 times? That’s the increase our 2024 grant recipient, BizKids, is recording as it winds down the year it has spent with Project Change Foundation!
Deploying the grant from Project Change to produce marketing materials as well as refine its message to potential donors and partnership organizations, over the last year BizKids has grown from delivering its programs in six communities to 54, including rural and remote. It has expanded into five more provinces and gained 17 new community partners.
BizKids impressive growth reflects both geographical reach as well as the number of kids benefitting from its programs that teach human essential soft skills (HESS). That means more kids are developing critical skills that will equip them for the future employment market.
“The impact on the kids is always incredible as they are programs that truly reach children of all learning abilities and skills to help them see their true potential and develop resiliency, confidence, leadership, critical thinking, self-awareness, decision-making, empathy, communication, and so much more,” says Leah Coss, BizKids founder and executive director.
Thanks to Project Change Foundation, BizKids is building momentum, Coss says, and armed her charity with the tools to expand its reach and develop methods to receive funding from school districts and connect with donors.
“Project Change Foundation provides a unique and authentic approach to supporting charities. So often we are seeking funds to help us do more for our communities, but when you can match that with an outsider’s perspective and support who is experienced in the charitable sector, that is where real impact can occur for a non-profit.”
